Similar handles/names

I noticed a slight problem and wasnt sure where to file it so Im putting it on here.

A seller joined the board named no bubbles or no_bubbles (not sure as the names are underlined), I clicked on his name to maybe read some of his info to see if I could determine if he was legit. It turns out there is another user named nobubbles (no space), whose profile I was linked to (took a moment to figure it out). Just thought i'd mention this, not sure if it is an error on the forum version or if you guys can fix it.

Its not really a software issue, more a human one. I dont really see the issue personally, just be aware of the need to carefully read peoples names

No, the software error was that I could not read the profile/info of the seller.

I see what you mean - it is do to our URL rewrites which give user friendly URLs rather than stuff like member.php?=%1442342 you get member/schford.htm

will look into it.

Just tried it, typing in 'no bubbles'. The browser filled the blank automatically.

http://www.rebreatherworld.com/members/nobubbles.html works, too.
There is no one with 'no-bubbles' or 'no_bubbles' yet.

Yea, it does... did you put in the "%20" in the link yourself Stef? The "%20" is what signifies a space character. So for some reason when you click on a name with a space it doesnt carry over or convert spaces into "%20".

When I type the URL into the adress space with a blank the browser (IE 5.1.4 fort Mac) adds the "%20" and takes me to the profile.

When I click on the links I posted above it takes me to the profiles.

Usually my old labtop is the one having problems around here, so I asume
it's you browser having the problem.

It appears it was fixed...I use IE which im sure many of your users use, so I doubt its my browser.

Previously clicking on the name 'no bubbles' would link me to the profile of 'nobubbles', now it seem to link to the profile of 'no-bubbles'.

I wasnt quite having problems, I just thought I would mention the bug because I assumed others hadn't noticed.
