Dan, I see that (obviously) quite different. I blob people, with aproval or disaproval, just like everyone else. That is my personal opinion of what someone posts. When I blob, I use the same button everyone else does, not the admin panel. Nor do I add or subtract a specific number of points. You get blobbed by me, you get blobbed by caveseeker7, not by admin.

When somebody posts something I think is important, when someone does extra research for post, anything like that I usually reward it with aproval. In that thread you annoyed the hell out of me, so I clicked the other button.

And while I didn't like your post, it was nevertheless within TOS and you didn't do anything wrong that would be an offense in that regard. Hence I did not pull rank and tell you as an admin to lay off. I had to do that a time or two and it's a lot less fun for whoever is on the receiving end, as well as for me. It also means that you've just gotten a warning that will be taken into consideration in case of future violations, and how they will be handled. More often than not the admins and mods discuss this before action is taken. You get warned of by a mod or admin, it doesn't matter which mod or which admin dished out the warning.

Way different than getting a red blob, even if it comes from board staff.
By the way, I've been red blobbed in the past, too, By someone who had no part in the discussion whatsoever, which I found somewhat confusing. Then again, I tend to give the blobs less importance than some other people do. They are a nice feature, and a reader's choice indicator, but in the end the posts are what matter to me.

Hey Stefan,

Thanks for the clarification.

Agreed!
