BUG new post count on front page

the new posts count on hte front page does not tally with the new posts that I have
presently it say 15 but I have no unread posts

Yep, I have the same problem

19 unread posts on the front page, and nadda when i click the link.

If i mark all threads as read, then the count resets correctly... for a while at least.
