![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | searching on very small words? I wanted to look for "inspiration" and "dot" because I'm interested in reading up on dot (Department of Transportation, usa) regulations as they apply to british cylinders. Search tells me: Quote: The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search: dot Is there a trick to forcing a keyword to be part of search, perhapslike "inspiration +dot" ? | Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | I just tried searching for "Department Of Transportation" "foreign cylinders" and got plenty of hits. Or try searching the DoT website . |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Search for Inspiration and DOT* The star means the search will return all words that contain "DOT" (eg "DOTing") but it will also return the word "DOT" too. And google (or whatever) won't ignore "DOT*" as it is four letters long. Janos

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | FWIW, on these forums you can set the minimum word size to search for and you can also list exceptions. (If you are a Stuart that is!) So, I have SWM set to 3 I think? But I have O2 and words like that searchable. Or use widcards as Janos said. |

We can TEST non DOT cylinders, as long as they are leaveing the US, Like a Ship/Plane was in port and needed work. We can't Stamp our #s on it, only a month/year and give the test results, and can't become a DOT cylinder. Hope this helps. Paul |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Paul, a little while ago there was a discussion about it on the Rebreather list. One of the contributors referred to "Section 49" clearly stating that foreign tanks may not be used private or commercially. Searched for it on the DOT website as well as Google but didn't find it. Does it ring any bells? |

I'm home tonight and away all weekend, but will try and bring it to work Monday and scan the chapter on in CFR49 that pertains to this, I did get a friend who was forwarding me all the WRONG stuff from the Rebreather list. I just took a class in this in June AGAIN and its clear they can't not be used here in the US unless they are DOT tanks.
