![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | disappearing posts I know I have posted this before but I find it annoying when I look at a thread and then a couple of days later I can't find the thread because once I have veiwed it it doesn't show under new posts so then I have to use the search feature which only works if I know exactly what I am looking for. Why does a post have to not show up in new posts search once you have veiwed it?

That is the same reply you gave me last time I sometimes wish to refer back to a thread I might have remembered seeing in the past. I am not always that far sighted that I could subscribe to every thread that catches my eye.

If its in the last 24 hours you can use fiind today's posts..

Yeah the problem is I think of stuff I have seen a day or two before but it is hard to find when previously read thread don't show up any more. Would it be too difficult to change the forum I am sure there are others who have the same problem? If its in the last 24 hours you can use fiind today's posts..

| Prism #007 ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: disappearing posts If such a change were to occur, I think adding it as a new feature - for instance "all posts for last week" instead of changing the new posts feature as the ability to only see those that are new without trolling over old ground is quite valuable. Cheers, Ben. |

Obviously changing the last digit gives you a different number of days. Janos EDIT: I put in a space just after the www so that the whole string displays correctly.

Would it be too difficult to change the forum I am sure there are others who have the same problem? Dave, I find this incredibly annoying too. If I've posted to a thread, it's because I'm interested in it - I sometimes re-read previous posts or indeed my last in case I need to edit things. Ironically, often the easiest way is to fire up Rebreather World without logging in, where you see everything. On SWM you get the option to see everything posted within 24 or 48 hours - I think this is similar to what Janos has posted. You then get everything, new or not.I wouldn't mind, but you can't trust the "New Posts" function. Sometimes, many times actually, it misses a new post for some reason. Just vBulletin being flakey I guess - nothing Stuart could do about it. I guess you could subscribe to each thread, but it would be nice just to have the option to see everything in the last 24 hours as well, if you wanted to.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: disappearing posts Just as an example, I was reading the heliair thread and wanted to refer to Dave Suttons thread about PPO2/diluent in my post but I couldn't find it easily, didn't have time to do a search and don't really get all the nuances of the search capabilities anyway. A seach button that showed all posts read or unread for X number of days would have helped immensely.
