| euro cylinders in USA I just bought a revo from a gentleman in belgium. there are no DOT numbers on the cylinders but have a good hydro stamp that is legible. The inflator bottle doesn`t however have a stamp on it for hydro it appears to have a hydro sticker on it. My question is are these tanks any good in america? Would an hydro place hydro them? Lastly what are my options for doing anything with them. The tanks are 3L liter tanks and I don`t know what the inflator is to be honest they are all steel fabers from what I can see. |

The short answer is no. The valve threads will be M25 so the valves are useless too. Your best option is try to sell them back to someone in the EU and put the money towards some US DOT-marked cylinders (which probably came off the same production line). |

You cant reclassify a non-DOT tank to DOT via a hydro.Later, John Its all about licensing and permits as well as safety. (i.e.$$ and protecting the US manufacturers from cheap imports) Its also illegal to fill a non-DOT tank in the USA

| Re: euro cylinders in USA Like already mentioned, set up to fill at home and call it good. The Euro spec tanks sell for next to nothing in the US and are prohibitive to sell in Europe due to shipping costs. |
