SAS Airlines Hi all looking at flying SAS Airlines 2012 Manchester to Bergen. We will be taking 3 Inspos and 1 Sentinel plus open circuit and any feedback from you guys who have travelled on SAS with rebreathers would be welcome. Their web site is very confusing on Dive Equipment , 1 reg and 1 cylinder, 1 knife and 2 fins etc ( I am waiting for a reply from SAS to clarify ). Thanks.

It's a new route so a bit unknown, their excess baggage charges looked reasonable however when I was looking last week. Sent from my BlackBerry 9780 using Tapatalk

Re: SAS Airlines Cheers Peter I fly with SAS a lot, never brought a rebreather though. I have never been questioned about the contents in a dive bag, mostly it's three instances of asking me if there are any cylinders in there. I pack whatever I feel like, including non dive related stuff and have gotten away with it some three dozen times. Might vary with different airports I suppose but I've never had trouble with other airlines either even though many have similar rules. My impression is that as long as you stay within the weight limits nothing else is enforced.excess baggage is reasonable 30 Euros for additional 23kg just cant get my head around the Special Baggage Diving Equipment section.
