| Go Nude Or Go Home Current Rebreather/s: | Thoughts on Hose routing So I was bored today and thought it a good oppurtunity to further butcher my PRISM. The one thing I realy didnt like was the ScubaPro Air2, leaky little shit had to go. So to make the whole thing a little cleaner I stuck this cool Zeagle manifold onto the Dil. So basically now the Dil first stage has one LP hose running off it to the The Manifold then runs off too the ADV, the bungied second stage and to the BCD Inflator. I am thinking of putting a High flow whip onto the Manifold so I can plug off board into it, but not convinced this is the best way to go. Any thoughts ? Cheers Chriso

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Thoughts on Hose routing I've done a similiar thing but with the block that is supplied on the Mares HUB. This block is half the size of the Zeagle one, I've got it mounted just below my bucket and its fed with all stock hoses. The way I'm running it now, I have one free out of 4 ports so that if I decide to plug in off board gas I can. Once I go mixed gas, I'll pull the dry suit whip off and that'll leave two free ports. I'll try and post a pic of the setup tonight. Dave |

I've got a male end QC whip that runs off on a swivel, under the scrubber, inbetween the cyl and bucket, then over the shoulder, inside of the exhale lung. It's a big sucker and has a shut off. I used this on my last trip for offboard Dil, worked well, just have to pay attention to which valve is open. This way, you can use the stock Dil add/ADV and switch btw the 2 dils without having to fiddle with QCs underwater. If you have the same Dil mix in both cyls, both valves can be left open. I like having the Dil add/ADV high up on the lung, where it belongs, right next to the inhale hose. I wouldn't want to punch another hole in the lung and then have the Dil add in a less than optimum location. Why do you need the manifold? Actually, I could still fit 1 more LP hose off the dil reg for a BOV... -Andy Last edited by silent running : 6th July 2006 at 17:37. |

Chriso, your gas setup would then essentially be the same as Andys but with one more hose. The only advantage I can see is the cleaner hose routing...but thats not much of a drama when you run stuff throught he CLs.Have I missed something ![]() Oh, I guess you can do the bungied occy thing now since you have split the wing and reg feed lines. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Thoughts on Hose routing Hi Chris, Heres a couple pic of the block I'm using. Its mounted right under the bucket. Does not hinder the bucket coming off and going on. Allowed me to dump the Air2, run a dry suit whip off DIL. I use my bottom bottle that fits in the bracket you see there, 13 cuft bottle, for wing inflation. I use more in wing inflation then I do suit inflation and if I dive a wet suit, I can remove the line of the block. |
