Price for a new PRISM is RRP:US$7,800.00

Wait time well I spoke to some guys in Australia the other day who placed an order for a couple in Sept 05, they are expected sometime after Sept 06

Why is the wait so long, well depends on who you ask, but I would suggest sending an Email to SMI.

Want to see one apart? well here you go

Well there's a picture of the SMI scrubber on the ISC web page:

http://www.customrebreathers.com/breaking_it_down.html

That may mean that somebody over there is up to something. Anyone know for sure?

Look at size of the Meg Axial and the PRISM Radial
http://www.customrebreathers.com/breaking_it_down.html

I hear Leon has a dead sexy Radial of his own due out soon

Cheers

Jut to make sure you notice it.. The axial scrubbers and the micropore scrubbers are sitting on "spacer" rings.. The size of the ring dependson which tube the scrubber is going to be put into..

The CIS scrubber only fits in the standard sized housing.. The CIS scrubber needs to be longer than other radial scrubbers because of the hydrophobic membrane.. I dont remember the exact dimension but the pleated arrangement of the membrane reduces the diameter available to fill with sorb by at least 1 inch... It could be closer to 2 inches though..

Leon did some WOB comparitive testing using on of the SMI scrubbers..

Expect to see comparitive testing results in the future as Leon will have a complete PRISM (a diver traded a PRISM plus a sizable sum of money for a Meg)
