Just FYI, I had used the in-hose T-piece on these units:
  • MK-15 / VR-3
  • XCR (EDO-04 mCCR)
and found that condensation is much worse than on the scrubber or CL.

Re: Adding O2 sensor for HS Explorer O

After we talked about it and looked over some circuit diagrams, we decided the best place was the elbow on the inhalation counterlung. So that whole assembly is going, along with the mouthpiece hose. He's going to see if he can make a replacement elbow with a P-port.

Regarding the condensation, I guess we'll see. I never had too much trouble with the Oxy2 sensors on my Dolphin, which were in about the same position in the loop. But this is why we experiment...to find out if the facts match the theory!

Okay, after some poking and prodding of the package by German Customs, Martin finally has the bits in hand and says he'll be digging right in.

It's done!

Well, Martin has been beavering away and it's all done!
It's up on the TecMe site right now for 150 euro (160 if you need a blind plug). Mine will be on the way back soon and I'll report with pic when it arrives.
Many thanks to Martin for taking on the project!

I'll second that. Neat bit of gear.

I always said I wouldn't bother plumbing in the VR3....but that waws before the part was available!!

It will be very interesting to see some reports on how well the unit holds set-point ... SMI has been rather adamant on the issue.

Will take a while, Toren's PRISM isn't due till May.
Until then y'alls have to look at the secondaries to see how close the setpoint is held. But I am looking forward to see it all integrated into the loop and find out how close the VR3 reads to the secondary.
