CD,

Kick yourself in the bum for using logic with regard to a bloke in sales. You must be forgetting that Simon also believes in steel stages, neoprene drysuits, Prisms, cats, ½ an acre being called a farm, bracelets and Draeger Rays. Did you know he spells his name with a silent ‘P’ in front now? Psimon will be growing a pony tail soon.

LMAO!

Ok Steve, thanks for reminding me. Consider my arse duly slapped. (but lucky me, I couldn't reach, so got one of the girls here at work to slap it for me...)
Ah well, someone's gotta do it...

As for our mate Si, you forgot to mention his taste (or lack thereof) in beer...

No I find a backplate too short in length and uncomfortable to use, the waist belt ends up around my diaphragm and is very uncomfortable.

Steve, CD you can both go get f#$%^d

Re: Steel Chassis for PRISM

Enrique Alvarez made one for me that was similar to his old style insp. housing, I think it could withstand gunfire, no weight belt needed with his unit, first class construction.

Ron S. (a very good prism instructor and diver)saw the product.

Hi Jont,

Thanks for that. I'm now at the stage of having a template and talking to some nice uys who can bend/weld marine grade stainless. Should be able to house the head and scrubber intact inside the case and have 7ltrs on my back as planned.

Will let people know mopre as the design comes together

Shure thing, if you google enrique alverez diving you will find his wensite, When I was diving the prism, I had 2 OMS 45's on my back (one for O2 and one for Dill), the head and scrubber was completly protected with SS. I would also sling 2 more OMS 45's as bail and yes the rig was heavy.

I have always been very happy with everything Enrique turns out, Its FIRST class work.

Good Luck

J

Samir is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Steel Chassis for PRISM

Simon,

If your Rebreather (any of them) make it past collecting dust on the lounge floor! I may have some parts for a second loop for you.

Since I'm not going to twin the Inspo but use a sidemount Rebreather instead, you can buy the parts I bought for twining the Inspo, this includes the complete scrubber same as Garskes.

Cheers,
Samir

P.S. the day you doing a deep dive with us, please let me have the camera ready, otherwise people will not believe me if I told them.

Mate the day I do a deep dive with you I'll still be watching to make sure that meccano kit switch block doesn't cr@p out on you. Have you changed the buddy hoses for standard ones or still rolling the dice?

And no thanks for the offer but I'll stick with the PRISM which is working great. If I was going to twin a unit I'd use the mk15.5 with front counter lungs and a butt mounted axial scrubber. But the PRISM is good enough for now and can run manually very well with no electrics whatsoever.

To be honest Andy I'll possibly be asking for a go on your unit in the near future. I'm going to have to do something with the BP240 and a KISS unit seems the way to go. I just need to find a couple of cylinders that I like to moouint on it and some fittings then it should be sea worthy
