Oceanic would sign for x units per year. Probably directly invest capital in the operation- they have the space to build a factory. Simple scaled up operations of the existing systems. You get your digital display, spare parts and cell prices might drop over the volume. Plus, Oceanic is getting an existing proven system. I am excited for the Steam Machines owners and staff. Could be a great thing having Oceanic selling their units and providing the muscle to do so. Now address the training and cover off on a few items and we are off and running. I believe that Peter kept the operation at the size based on demand and keeping a current need that kept his staff busy and allowed his operations to grow over time. Bravo and well done. Andrew

Oceanic plan to have the P2 made in Asia (where they have a couple of factories already), with some serious Modifications to the unit that was displayed at DEMA. Cheers Chris

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Just spoke to Peter and Sharon.... Chris, It’s always a pleasure to hear from you. Amazing that we are exchanging thoughts from opposite sides of the earth. I have been thinking a lot about what you said and it makes sense but only to a degree. Without a press release saying that Steam Machines has been acquired I would rather ‘assume’ that the PRISM2 has been licensed to be built by Oceanic. That would leave intact the Tennessee facility and be a great testing area for future modifications if they want to involve Peter and Co. Which being the owner and a heck of a closed circuit diver would make sense. “Where’s that pink mask…” If this unit goes off shore to be built (by whomever) I will not touch it The business I do work for builds, delivers and installs special purpose machinery all over and I have not been impressed with the facilities I have seen out of far east. Oceanic has had enough recalls because people do not understand the implications of life support equipment. Life support equipment manufactured by the cheapest vendor is a scary proposition- does it come with lead paint too? (This is clearly a personal observation.) Thank you for your insight Chris. Hope the water is warming up for your dive season. It’s starting to get a little a chilly here. Regards, Andrew

Regards, Andrew Andrew, I spoke with peter at DEMA... in his words He is out of the rebreather manufacturing business.. He is now free to spend his time on the things he enjoys doing.. Designing/prototyping things and playing the guitar.. I have never seen Peter so happy... Everytime I saw him he had a big smile on his face and he had some extra spring in his step.. I wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors..

Everytime I saw him he had a big smile on his face and he had some extra spring in his step... ... probably all due to the fat wallet in his pocket... ![]() Hopefully Peter will have time dedicates to bringing out new technology / features for the Rebreather market. However, I doubt if we will see anymore of the HDD shown in the past as Oceanic/Hollis already have the Datamask. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Just spoke to Peter and Sharon.... Andrew, Peter came to the SB party and sat at the same table with the Rebreather divers. I can say what I heard was the same as Joe. Peter also said he sees Oceanic getting the cost below $5K USD. Peter is still distributor for Grace sodasorb and does engineering consulting work. He was in a very good mood over the deal with Hollis/Oceanic. I wish him well.I spoke with peter at DEMA... in his words He is out of the rebreather manufacturing business..
