![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Golem BOV - Prism HUD bracket I thought I'd share After getting my BOV and doing a few dives with it, I wasn't happy with the way the stock holder was working. After seeing a few different flavors of holders, I decided to make my own. Here are a couple of shots to show you. Oh, and after checking - this same bracket will fit on the standard DSV as well.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Golem BOV - Prism HUD bracket Actually it was very easy. The clip is made from a 2" PVC coupling, which I cut one side of the coupling off. This left the small lip on the in side to act as a shoulder while the other part of the coupling fit over the hose nut. I cut it so the lip sits in the grove between the hose nut and BOV. The saddle that the HUD sits in, is a small piece of 1 1/2 PVC pipe that I cut just a little longer then the actual length of the HUD. Sat the clip on the hose nut, got the position of where I wanted the saddle to sit. Marked it, pulled of the BOV and using PVC clue secured the saddle to the clip. Once dry I then took 5 minute exposy and secured it along the edges and groves of where the saddle met the clip. When everything was dry, use a dremel with a cut off wheel and shape the saddle the way you want and a small sanding disk to clean it. Drill a small 3/16 inch slot about about 5/8 inch long so that the HUD bolt will fit in allowing the wheel nut to secure it. The amount of the coupling that I removed was about just a little more then a 1/4 of it. I cut a bit and then tried it, cut a bit more and tried it again and so on. Did this until it clipped in place firmly but not to tight that i couldn't get it attached. I put a strip of bicycle tube on hose nut to prevent the clip from moving around. This keeps it snug, but still allows me to adjust it forward and back easily enough. I find that this keeps the HUD in a nice low profile so its not blocking the view in the mask. This is the same for the BOV and the stock DSV.
