Good on em mind you, anything that gets their product out there is a good thing for them. I just had to laugh at all the mistakes... One article called it a MkIV (mk 4?), one said it had a po2 scrubber, etc etc etc... ya gotta laugh. ![]() (and don't get me started on the comments!!!) ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: MK VI in PopSci and others I agree that the PR folks gotta tighten up the pitch for risk of dis-creditting the unit. Likewise for the advertised claims like 'forget enverything you heard about PO2, etc' yadda yadda.. just a thought though...should we give this thing a chance? I am skeptical from what I've heard (I admit I have yet to see the thing), but am trying to keep an open mind considering that the logic behind the unit has come from some of the pioneers in the Rebreather community. Ten years ago, Stone and company gave us the Mk5P which at the time was way ahead of the game, and now look...virtually every unit out there has some bits and pieces that have clearly evolved from the 5P. Maybe, just maybe, and I re-emphasize MAYBE, the Mk6 will pave the way for a next evolution in Rebreather's over the next decade...food for thought

I wasn't having a go at the unit, just a laugh at the "bloggers" and the comments by the sites readers. Just found the variations in the articles amusing... ![]()

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: MK VI in PopSci and others I absolutely agree with you, Mike. Poseidon should leash the marketing guys (although the unit seems to get attention). There are some important innovations in that little rig if they work. That as well as the people behind it certainly deserve the benefit of the doubt. They're just prototypes so far. Look at most prototypes (and even some finished units) and they look worse ... ![]() We can speculate about the features and their success, and we can discuss the 'recreational approach' they take, but it's a wee bit early to actually judge the MK-6. |
