![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cis Lunar MK6 at Boot 2008 This year at the boot in düsseldorf i have seen the new cis the first time. I read a lot here on Rebreather World and at the poseidon sweden homepage about the new Cis Lunar Rebreather. The Name alone stands for diving expedition´s around the world, a lot of impressiv dive´s and sophisticated technology. And then this: the guy´s from poseidon germany don´t know much about there new product. The look very unhappy when i ask many questions and all answers where very short. My feeling was that I have stolen there time . The cells can not change by the user, so the head must go back to poseidon germany to replace the cell´s. Very nice handset, ok. But the HUD was not available. "We don´t get the HUD from Sweden".What a company.... Cheers Markku ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Cis Lunar MK6 at Boot 2008 The guy at the boot said: you can not change the cell´s by your self, you must send the electronic head back to poseidon (Germany/Sweden/or other, where ever you live) Cheers Markku ![]() |

If there's a failure in the injection or electronics module, or handset, they need to go back to Poseidon. Cells can be changed by any dealer, and user likely too. Remember, they're still prototypes, and the way I understood it Poseidon hasn't decided yet if they'll only let dealers change sensors or users, too.

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Cis Lunar MK6 at Boot 2008 I stopped by their booth twice as they were at the entrance, and two different people were attending the units. Both were quite polite, however only seemed to actually know much about the unit. The second guy tried to answer questions as much as he could but had to ask people a couple of times to come back for the other one. Any way, at no time did I feel they rather not deal with me, and I sure asked my share of questions.

The way to get info out of these guys is to show up with a complete video crew. ![]() ![]() Last Sunday we did a video interview at Boot with Sverker Palmblad. He is the sales manager for Poseidon. The video interview will go online early next week. I'm editing full speed as we speak (write). We also did interviews with Greenforce, DeltaP, DUI, APD, Ursuit, Halcyon and Hugyfot. I'll keep you all posted. Peter |

The look very unhappy when i ask many questions and all answers where very short. My feeling was that I have stolen there time I was at Boot Saturday last week, and spoke to a Swedish guy at Poseidons booth, he had a good knowledge about the product, he was very friendly, and could answer our questions about the rebreather. .The cells can not change by the user, so the head must go back to poseidon germany to replace the cell´s. I think you have misunderstood who this rebreather is made for. This product is not made for the hardcore technical divers, it is made for recreational diving, for recreational divers. It is a product for the type of divers, who has a non technical dive education, dive with single tank, don't do deco dives. They also send their equipment to a shop, for early checkup, repairs, and all that. Therefore I think it makes perfect sense you send in the head when the cells need to be changed, remember you don't even fill the sofnolime yourself. Off course you if you want to be able to do everything yourself, then it is the wrong rebreather, no doubt about that. Last edited by theDiver : 28th January 2008 at 07:57. |

Mat: Well anyway inquiring minds would like to know why they keep telling you that production units would be different when anyone with a fair knowledge of molding technique would state that the molds for these "prototypes" cost 5 digit Euro numbers. And that in the light that different materials would _not_ fix the design flaws. Flaw no 1: material thickness "around" the canister. Wallthickness too thin to be cured with POM. Flaw no 2: I sincerely doubt that the " panscraper, or mosquito swatter" display would withstand more than 3-5 dives on a RIB. Flaw no3: The scrubber indeed was "prepacked". However it was all granules. A fake? No means of preloading, no spring. It already had settled considerably. >It is a product for the type of divers, who has a non technical dive >education, dive with single tank, don't do deco dives. >They also send their equipment to a shop, for early checkup, repairs, and >all that. >Therefore I think it makes perfect sense you send in the head when the >cells need to be changed, remember you don't even fill the sofnolime >yourself. Mat: I sometimes wonder how people manage to tie their shoelace without professional help. XYZ. Matthias |
