| Hi All, I am in the market for an upgrade to my current camera system. From all the fortune my pictures have brought me ![]() ![]() (seriously sarcastic!) I can only justify a used system. I currently have a Nikon D70s in an aquatica housing. What I would prefer is to stay with Nikon, and I need a housing that is at least rated to 300 fsw as it will go much deeper than this. So if any of you are looking to unload a good used system and move up let me know. Send me an email as I check this more often than PM’s. scubagrunt@hotmail.comThanks mel |

It has about ½inch of thickness. Lots of spear parts and huge strobe to come with it. Will send you the lenses, fisheye and macro and the adapters for them to the housing as well. |

| Re: looking for a used camera system No A D700 would not be a right choice. Wide angle optics with full frame (FX) format cameras are real bitch underwater. You have greater issues in getting/achieving corner sharpness, spending larger sum of money on very expensive optics and larger size dome ports - 9 to 10-inch is where you need to be with anything wider than 20mm. DX format like your current D70 or a new D300s is still the best way to go. Lenses like the Tokina 10-17mm fisheye zoom work very well be hind small 6-dome ports, and supposedly a new design 4-inch dome port. Other optics to consider for wide angle - 12-24mm zoom (Nikon and Tokina are pretty much equal) or Nikon's new 10-24 and Tokina's new 11-16mm f.28. |
