![]() | Memory Stick Question. Could I pick your brains again chaps, I have a sandisk memory stick pro 512mb blue and my camera no longer recognises it. When I put it into my computer it sees it and I can see that it is empty but if I try to do anything with it, it says I have to format it, when I try to format it, it comes up with unable to do it as it is write protected. Has this memory stick reached the end of its life or can I bring it back to life somehow? Has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks in advance for your advice, Lewis |

I hate to state the obvious...did you accidently move the switch on the left hand edge of the card. It does lock. If the little button is in the down position it will not format or write. Thanks in advance for your advice, Lewis Tom

I never leave any photos on them longer than a few days. I have quite a few 1gb sticks lying around that are no good anymore. |

I once deleted everything off a card and it would not work in my camera I got it to work by somehow but I don't remember what I did and what I found out that you don't want to delete the thumbs.db file and I haven't had a problem since..... just a suggestion Rob |
