Louby Lou copied over a trip report that is on my website, with my permission at the end of last year. It is possible that when she did so she changed some file names on the included pictures. Which would explain the change in file naming format. What it doesn't explain is how they got from a trip report to the gallery, under someone elses name.

So far, as I recall, and I'll stand corrected if required:-

I didn't file the trip report, Lou did. She did that with my permission, so no problem there.

There appears to be a ginourmous f*** *p wrt the galleries and whos pictures are where. I know what it's like to trawl through a large database that's been screwed, and I guess that Beanie couldn't have done such a bad job, but............ aaaahhhhhhggghhhhh!!!!!

It would therefore appear that I have taken Dragon2115's name in vain. May your ears return to being ears and your balls become...err .. ball shaped again.

arrrr I bet that explains it...when Louby does a new article I believe she places the images for the article in the gallery so she can call them from the article in the library if that makes sense.......

I think what we need to do is make sure the images are in yoru name...

sorry again - my fault on the update to the new gallery software - the import routine didnt go as well as it might have shall we say!

Does that mean that if I were to either delete the images, or replace the images with larger ones, that the article formating would fall to bits? In common parlance, the article web pages' layout would be screwed because the pictures pushed the words around?

Sorry, but it's more bad news for you,. It seems you have been credited with my "toilet tissue" shots of Tulagi in the gallery that show up on the front page from time to time.

i apparently have an ultrasonic spidge cleaner in the gallery that doesnt belong to me, while it is a nice bit of kit and i would love to be the proud owner sadly i cannot claim that beauty to be mine

I'm quite capable of taking my own crappy shots with having someone elses crap attributed to me!

Well I just had a look and the only piccie in my gallery is me with a manta ray.

If the gallery is half as bad as it appears, perhaps it should be deleted and started from scratch!

OK OK, it was only a suggestion......... but it's still a suggestion........

Hi Folks

Just seen this thread, Beanie and I have literally returned in the last hour from our holidays.

I'll speak to Stefan later about it all, but basically what happens when an article is posted, the images which accompany the article are uploaded into the gallery as it makes easier accessing them for the final article in the library. As far as I am aware I have always posted with the correct name who has written the article to the correct images. If there has been any mix up I am sorry, but this I believe is something to do with the server and mixing up images which Beanie has been trying to sort out at the same time as trying to buy a house, relocate and also me sorting out a new job. I'm sorry for any problems that have occured whether it is a server error or user error. Please accept my apology and any problems relating to articles or what we do with them to make them look there best within the pararmeters of the software then please pm me but give us chance to get through the 1100+ posts we have to catch up with first
