It works, have a look at the gas switching page and try to copy the full picture of the rebreather.

![]() | Re: Web pics and copyright? HI I am involved in a marine aquarium species database project. The pictures got ripped so often that the admin finally found no other way then to put a HUGE watermark into the picture. Does not look good, but you can still see what you need to see, see here http://www.meerwasser-lexikon.de/eng...iopeia/sp..htm Jens |

Actually, you were halfway correct, I can't click on the flash images and save them as I can with jpg and like formats. I cheated and used the screen shot function on my Mac, then converted it to a jpg to post here. Flash will keep some people at bay, but the ones really out to cheat someone will still rip them off one way or another. Nice shell, by the way.

If you want to sue for illegal useage you can really only recover lost income in the majority of cases, unless the shot was copyrighted in which case it's multiple times normal useage fees (meant as a deterrant). Recovering those costs out of country is a challenge. I get shots stolen all the time. Most sites are willing to work with you right up to the point of paying at which point they either ignore you entirely or remove the pic. Watermarks don't even stop people. |

But im going to blame it on the little nag screen Ive been seeing pressuring me to post....nah...on second thought, maybe im just too opinionated!Geoff |

I work in a Western European University department which has academic links with a number of Asian Universities - as a consequence we have a lot of "international" (that's the politically correct term) students from that region. These students have to be continually reminded to cite sources for anything that is not their own work. As I understand it (and stand willing to be corrected) there is (or was) a culture of less "ownership" of ideas in the Far East (and more cooperation for the Common Good) than in the Western hemisphere where ideas and concepts are more ferociously protected.Often our view of what is right and what is wrong is driven by society rather than any "natural" justice. I copy stuff all the time - I get my best ideas from others. Only had one cup of coffee so far and needed a rant. |

A few years ago someone was selling a digital signature that was rumored to be traceable and they were talking about searching the net so they could cut down on misuse. I am not if this ever happened? Has someone considering contacting RSA for an encrypted elements within the photo that would not allow the picture to be copied? Watermark across the image is great. I agree with Duncan about it being a cultural issue. We have clients in the theater and we never send anything that is detailed in the manner of drawings and we always skew the scale of the drawings. All machinery is marked and seal chemical used on particular points. You break it we know. The maker of Cray supercomputer had the same problem with his chip design work in Japan. He allowed a Japanese company to build some prototype chipsets for him and he saw the same exact chipset being sold (with his logo) at a chip conference the next year. As a result he opened a business in chip production (microlithography) for his prototype work. Interesting topic- the perseption of value and ownership. Andrew
