Where do you clip off your camera?

Now that I have switched from OC to CCR, I'm having issues with finding a good place to clip off my camera during deco. The always available right d-ring is now occupied with the MAV and hoses of my Sport Kiss. I want it available, but out of the way.

Where have you found to be a sweet spot to hang your camera during the hang?

Re: Where do you clip off your camera?

I use the same right D-ring. In the horizontal position, my camera hangs down, and does not interfere with the MAV. Then again, when hanging in deco, I don't have to add much.

Re: Where do you clip off your camera?

If I don't have many stage bottles, then I just clip the video camera to my left hip d-ring. If my hip is cluttered, I clip it to a small 1 inch d-ring on my canister, which is on my right hip.

I use one of Dive Rite's Elastic Nomad Bungie Straps to secure my camera. They sell them in several different sizes (i.e., 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 inches) and I clip it off on my right d-ring and let it hang down turned on, just in case something swims by while I'm on the deco hang. The strap is essentially just a very heavy duty peice of bungie with a clip on either end. If you use one that is long enough, you can even keep it connected throughout the dive, that way if you have to do an emergency flush or something, you can drop the camera to deal with the emergency and not lose the camera.

Hopefully some other folks will share some ideas, because I've seen some pretty creative and effective techniques used out there.

Crotch strap d-ring for deco phase. Stays out of the way neatly as long as i am horizontal.

Re: Where do you clip off your camera?

I second the crotch strap D-ring, stays nicely out of the way and doesn't clutter up the chestal area.

Doesn't hurt. Maybe if ya clip it to a Prince Albert ... that you would notice.

Re: Where do you clip off your camera?

My camera goes in my right thighpocket.

I have a small boltsnap on the camera, and clip it to the D-ring in the pocket and close the zipper .

Before anyone asks, its a Canon ixus 700 in original housing, so not the biggest camera, on the other hand i always bring it, no matter what the current etc. is like.
And taking good pics with such a camera is not mandatory .

Best regards

Bo
