They have actually become very popular lately. I just finished setting up a system with a small digital camera and dual Z-240's, and I specifically used the Z-240's. The strobes are probably more than I need at the moment, but my local specialty underwater photography store told me the strobes would be perfect for when I ultimately upgrade to a SLR in a housing. I don't think they're are powerful as DS125s from centre to end, and they emit an eliptical beam instead of circular on the DS125s. Ultimately they're half the size! I think they've got a 100m vs 60m depth rating too. If you have an Ikelite housing though, the ETTL/Manual power board in housings makes the DSXXX strobes hard to go past. Damien |

Pre-flash only happens with flavours of TTL, which has very limited value in wreck and cave diving. If you shoot alot of macro you may find it of more value. I've used older Ikelite 225 and 200 strobes with the D100 and had no issues with the results. |

I've never lost an INON, been through 3. they have great customer service, and never heard of one flooding. with only (1) o-ring "BUT" it also has a good seating surface.
