![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | OK, I can't stand any longer so made a decision and ordered the Mako housing for the PC1000. I will get the HD camera later when Sony goes thru a few versions first... The smaller size Mako housing will encourage me to bring it along more often so I won't hate myself for missing shots. Now, could someone help me to locate a good and cheap source for a Sony PC1000 camera ? B&H is selling the PAL version for around US$1050 plus ~US$100 for shipping. Could I find better prices than that ? Lastly, I have a brand new condition (3 dives) Amphibico EVO package: housing, Sony HC-40 (PAL), 3.5" external monitor, extra batteries for sale for US$3000 (retail US$4280).

![]() ![]() | Blast, I forgot to post, Briefly, PC1000, fantastic, very good light sensitivity HCI, even more fantastic, but slightly poorer light sensitivity. Even tried the Canon, but the Sony was better. Me, I'm going for the HC1, I just can't resist it. Andrew |

Supposedly, it is still requiring top-end devices at the moment to capture HD video. But, PLEASE share your comment from time to time on how you get on with the HC1.

May be if I sell a few more KISS units, you only live once... ![]()

Well, the housing arrived last week but I was too busy so didn't have time to play with it.Finally, I had some free time tonight to sit and play. VERY NICE and COMPACT! The decision was made to go for a really small housing package so I don't mind bringing it on every dive. And I think I made the right decision regarding the Mako housing from LMI. The only thing I will miss is the ability to review the just-recorded video during deco like on my Amphibico external monitor. If the video back is installed, that feature is disable which I don't understand the reason... Now, the next "project" is to find a way to mount it on my scooter since there is no tripod mount on the bottom of the housing... ![]()
