The CamEye Sport has a stereo mini-jack which plugs into a socket on the camera. If your camera doesn't have a socket then I see the problem. Remote needed. If it does, however, then all you need do is replace the push-to-make switch at the other end wth a reed switch and mount the lot inside the housing. Then use a magnet outside. Maybe make a sliding switch out of an old inspo handset? ![]() |

Thanks for making me take a second look, I was juggling between email, PM and post last night so didn't have time to read it carefully. If Russ can't get the LMI tech guy to whip something up for me, I will definitely go down this road.

![]() ![]() | Re: LANC controller Is there anyone here who could build a simple LANC controller with a magnetic switch so I could achieve any of these actions remotely via a magnet:
I have a Sony video that accepts LANC and a "housing", so the rest is ready to go. I have the old model available. It can turn the camera on/off and record/stb and alot more. The new model is delayed. IRC you also needed some extra function and that's why waiting for the new model. If you need only those functions mentioned above I have 4 old models ready build. -Pasi |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: LANC controller I am currently building a video housing that will hopefully do 100m . I am using a SonyHC32 camera. I bought a Sony lanc controller off e-bay and modified it instead of the switchs i have soldered in wires that can be attached to reed switchs. It is not difficult to do as I am hopeless at electronicsCheers Pat |
