Nothing at all wrong with the stock displays, they were phenomenally reliable for somewhere over a hundred dives, but I was scaring myself by not checking them often enough so I needed something that was a bit more in your face. The shearwater hud works with my brain. Might not work for everyone, but I totally grasp the display/alarm concept. If you want to replace it the stock display, spec it from Bruce w/ a 1/4" NPT STRAIGHT fitting! It will screw in the existing hole the Pelagian displays use. I had to drill a hole in the corner of the dsv to attach the arm that supports the hud, and attach it with a small self tapping screw. |

Thanks Ryan!Man, I wish there is an economically-feasible way to piece all of the parts I like together into a single unit without having to buy everything and throw away pieces I don't like... ![]()

Here is a pic of the connection at the head- Hi Ryan,How does the instant cell validation work without the Pelagian original display? I found the VR3 a bit too slow to pick up unless you happen to be very near the depth where the DIL FgO2 matches the set point. Of course you could do it over two or three breaths to allow time for the update... Andy |
