![]() | Hy. Last week I was in Koh Samui (Thailand)visiting Andy's rebreatherlab. He showed me his workplace and demonstrated the Pelagian rebreather. A very nice piece of kit.Small, light and very robust. Directly I fell in lofe with the unit.Sad that i couldn't do some dives because I hurt my leg while jumping from my boat. The Pelagian was well thought through aswell modular. I was specially impressed with his BOV.The smallest I have seen. Neg and Pos pressure test no problem at all. You leave the unit in the negative pressure test overnight. With Andy's Bov,you get it when you pay.Unlike Philip Krolacks.I paid 400Euro for his Bov and still haven't received it 2 years later. I was very impressed with the unit itself as i was only 12kg.Ideal for the travelling diver. After selling my Inspiration classic,I was looking around for another unit. I'm comvinced now that I go for the Pelagian.Especially as a travelling diver. You can use a variety of cylinders. From 3ltr to 7 or even 10 litre. Diving duration from the unit is 4 till 6 hours. The Pelagian has only 2 O2 cells with the possibility of adding a 3cell for the Explorer or the Vr diving computers. The price for the Pelagian including the course,Bov and Explorer is reasonable.(ask Andy) At a $1000 USD for airfair and consumables ( drinks) in one of the 1000 bars in Koh Samui. You definately going to have a great week while doing the course on the Pelagian. For more info mail Andy or go to rebreatherlab.com. I'm definately going to have mine in a couple of months. Best Regards. Andre. Maldives |
