Have someone find a better solution to attach the weight upside the shell?

I would like to second this questions.
It was one of the comments I had when I test dived the Boris. What is the comment from other owners regarding the attachment of the trim weights

Re: weights

I saw one unit where the owner used ankle weights on the inside of the casing, I just use the original straps myself.

Re: weights

I need one kilo of weight when diving the Boris in a drysuit so I have a half kilo in the CCRB weight pockets that screw in place of the straps.

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.

Re: weights

Try replacing the factory backplate & harness with a standard stainless steel plate for double tanks. I can dive my Boros w/o any weights while wearing a drysuit & Weezle Extreme+ undergarment after doing so. Secondary benefits were not having to fit another harness and putting weight on the torso for better trim.

Guys
Attached is a couple of pictures of the weight pockets for the unit. They screw into the orginal attachment points for the old weight holder and hold 2 kgs each.
These and the foam base sort the trim out very nicely.

Regards, Al

I usually use the original straps (1 kg each) and 2 kg on the belt with Dry neoprene and Weezle extreme +. No trim problems.

However Al, do you have such pockets in stock?

Best,
Nad

I did begin to dive "Boris" with four kilos because of the instructor's advice.
Now I've experienced less trim weights and not so a big difference, but anyway prefer the previous trim that alowed me to dive with just one Kg in the belt (drysuit).
The question was because is too heavy carry and lift the Ouroboros from/to the boat wit more four kg.
Very nice the pockets' idea.
Thanks a lot for your advises
Fabio
