I dive VPM on the Boris and Buhlmann on the VR3, I have yet to find significant differences.

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.
Interesting, no big differences between the VPM (VR# Version) and Buhl ?

I only have Buhl on all three of mine... Boris and 2 hand units.

Do you play with looking back and forth all the time when you ascend?

Re: Vr3 as backup

Im new to the ouroboros myself, but i also run an off-board vr3 i would consider plumbing it into the loop. But i think its a bit of an overkill considering the amount of redundancy already built into the unit.

Re: Vr3 as backup

C'mon guys you don't need to plug a vr3 on the 4 cell position, what for ? you gonna have a deco calculated on only one cell ???

An external not plug VR3 maybe 0,05 or 0,10 ppo2 lower than the SP of Boris is a much better redudancy

VPM-Boris and VPM-VR3 much smoother than Bulhman for deep dives

I think the vast majority are with you, since the begining of the thread no one seems to positive about the idea.

A nice LCD HUD would be good nice for deco though 2cm by 2cm would be enough for a movie..... Then comes the problem of wiring for the surround sound.

This is exactly right.

Fourth cells are of no use at all IMHO.

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.

Re: Vr3 as backup

Using my OC Tech Experience I am planning to use my offboard and in case of controller failure and Hud failure or a Rebreather failure with switch to OC I can then use the DVO menu and turn on or off whatever bailout gases where available for any remaining deco obilgations.
