Jason.
I have to say, as an engineer I really appreciate the superb design and engineering that went into the 15 series. Its so well thought out, practical and like youve mentioned really easy to maintain. The Boris has a lot to live up to to get my dollar.

I wish that's true, I would still have mine instead of "down-grading" to something actually easy to work with...

Its worse that 2 years, currently the units are set for a factory service after 200 hours, which I should reach before long.

I have been diving the unit most weeks since April and have made 2 half day pit stops at Delta P. Besides wear and tear I have had no major problems and not missed a dive.

The pit stops were used to upgrade the units software, swop out a faulty HP sensor and allow the factory to see the effects of heavy use.

The service and support from Kevin and his team has been excellent and he has taken time to answer and advise on any issues.

WELL DONE.

This is all good news, I am looking forward to getting mine in October.

Cheers,

Outside EU price is the UK one.
I've just exported an Inspiration from the UK to NZ (That's outside the EU).

I paid the Purchase price plus a deposit to the value of the VAT to APD until I could prove the unit had been shipped out of the EU. APD then refunded the VAT deposit to me. And APD knew how to do this anyway.

If you want to know how to do this, just call your local Customs and Excise office. They told us which forms, where and when and how and who. Easy. It has very little to do with the companies policies, VAT is run by HM Government.

Hi Pete,
A bit late... however it's what I did, and it is a normal solution, but no way.
Thanks

I agree.

This was one of the turn off's about the Cis as well, every 2 years or the electronic will lock you out.

Boris will not lock out, it will just break your balls with alarm.
However it is a kind of running-in, if everything is good after the first 200 hrs (where everything will be checked) it could be possible to have longer periods.

As long as you could suppress the alarms...

That's good.

I agree that regular maintenance is a good thing, but shouldn't be mandatory IMHO.
