Talking Unit back from repair

My Boris came home today, it has had the following:

Centre section electronics re-potted after board swap
New dome
New hose ends
New OPV
Exhale C/L patched
Inhale C/L replaced (original damaged in factory)

Fingers crossed I'll get a dry dive now

Ian

Re: Unit back from repair

So, pretty much a whole new unit, then! Good to hear that you've finally got Boris back again - trip to Norway next Summer, then?

Not for me thanks, I've already signed up for a week out of Plymouth and don't have any other time. Unfortunately my new job has less holiday time than my current one

Re: Unit back from repair

How long did it take from the time the unit arrived for repair until it left the manufacturer?

They only had the unit for 5 days, this included a day of the unit being tested on a 50m dive for 75 mins.

Thumbs up Re: Unit back from repair

Glad you got it back Ian - 5 days is quite good too.

Fingers crossed it's all good now...

It's the same as the old one but with the larger plate. Kev is working on a possible new design, I'm hoping to find out more on Saturday.
