Talking Success!

I did a 35 minute test dive today, not a gurgle to be heard Came out, stripped the unit and nothing more than normal condensation to be seen, fantastic

Kev gave me a new OPV plate & spring to test yesterday, this one is a different shape to the original and larger versions, so far so good but I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Re: Unit back from repair

Hah! Great photo! May sound crazy but vacuuming the outer scrubber canister after packing has kept my dive buddy's and my Boros loops powder keg dry. No sofnolime residue to be found post-dive and no OPV problems. We have newer units (mine is #70) so the OPV design may be different than earlier models. I did 2 hours in Jackson Blue last Monday completely silent (awesome experience) and 3 hours in a local quarry yesterday with nothing but a small amount of condensation inside. To date I am COMPLETELY satisfied with the Boros. The only changes I made were to sack the original backplate & wing for a Halcyon Explorer 45 & SS backplate. So now it's like my 104's only lighter, quiet, using amazingly less gas.......
