It's a pity that some bright spark can't come up with an injector where the LP hose plugs in from the bottom. When I plug the side mount into the wing, the up and over is a pain in the butt (and scrappy).

Sorry but I cannot understand what you mean

Re: OMS wing, and upgrades in general

Sorry for the poor english... I was trying to say:
  • Is the new wing elasticated in the same way a standard OMS wing is?
  • The standard injector has the LP nozzle pointing upwards (towards your shoulder), as one knows the Ouroborous relies on off board to supply the wing, it would be better if that nozzle were to point down wards and make plugging in that little bit easier*.
* I don't use a dry suit bottle for either wing nor suit but use my side mounts.

Can't you cut the cable tie holding the hose to the inflator, turn it through 180 degrees and replace a cable tie? Or am I missing something?

not unless you turn the wing upside down as well.... the corrugated hose attaches at the same side as the LP inflator.

funny how rumours spread

Got color screen since 45h (of diving) and I'm doing 2/3 battery life of what I was doing before. Go and dive side by side with a guy who have a color screen, and you'll more than appreciate the difference

Regarding the wing, looks interesting, but guys don't you balance yourself just with your drysuit and use the wing as a backup device ??? by the way I agree that if your CD is faulty it should be replace by a new one CD or maybe OMS

Re: OMS wing, and upgrades in general

I use my dry suit but have to take the unit off to get into the rib, the standard 16kg is not enough, I have to inflate the lungs as well.

The standard wing also keeps you low in the water on the surface, would feel a lot better if I had more lift.

Mine was, the inflator hose mounting elbow was rough and a hole developed in the corrugated hose, Kev swapped the whole wing out.
