Hi all,

We had some serious hack attacks on the Ouroboros forum. The software used is open source, so relatively easy to hack (and cheap...). My previous webmaster was unable to solve the problem. My new webmaster could. A lot of problems by hackers are caused by using "hack generators" which use yahoo, hotmail and gmail accounts. In the software it is possible to block those accounts, which I did. So registering under such an account is not possible (altough we enabled gmail agian...).
Now we make weekly backups of the forum. When you cannot access the forum, this could be related to your browser (version). Also your firewall could cause problems.
This forum is for users (owners) only and cannot be anonymous: you will give your boris number. The forum is independent, even form the manufacturer.

Whilst I think this is a great idea there seems to be around 50% more users than units!

Thanks Pim, I await a fix avidly - as you know I haven't been able to access the forum for some weeks, and again as you know, despite your reply above, I have tried it on different PCs with different browsers from different places - although really for the forum to be of any use it needs to work easily without having to fiddle around checking browser versions and firewall - in fact, exactly like rebreather world. You can see that a number of people have given up with the closed forum, but as I said, I hope you manage to resolve the issues so that we can all use it safely.
