| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | They come in handy when you don the unit the wrong way. Just kidding. The Ouroboros "buddy display" allows the dive buddy or a safety diver (e.g. when filming) to monitor the status of the system. The Cis-Lunar MK-5p also has LED lights on the top of the case for remote monitoring by another diver.

Having seen a unit in the flesh, I think the back display is adding a lot of size compared to what an LED display would have taken up,Thanks, Robert |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | The Cis-Lunar simply had two LEDs, a green one signaling on setpoint and a red one signaling high or low pO2. The Ouroboros not only shows the actual pO2 readout, but also has 4 LEDs that are corresponding to the 4 LEDs of the HUD, giving warning and alarms for the entire system: pO2, deco, solenoid valve and a general alarm (which can be anything from ascent rate to content and batteries). The displays are in the lid of the main electronics pod, that also contains its 3 batteries, hence the size. Might as well use the acreage of the lid.

| Despotic Overlord ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | I think a standard HUD display gives your buddy a lot of information - as Mark Chase said his buddy can see from the HUD that everything is OK, and Sarah and I can easily see what each other are breathing from our HUDs. Admittly you can not see this form behind but from most other angles its fine, and in dark murky water it actually gets easier! Stuart |

In most of penetration dive any diver is behind another one. However I don't think that without the back screen the unit would have been a lot smaller, not with his canister design.Stuart Nad
