![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Cell Problem Cells are F5 (June?) but rig is Mar 2006. Rig has just come back from the shop and hasn't got much more than 16 hours on it (not my fault I promise). I calibrate, everything looks cool until I check the backup. Cells 2 on backup read 0.99/3.64/0.99 (Mv reading on cell 2 is sky high) versus 0.99/1.00/9.99 on the primary. I do a quick manual adjust on the backup but can only get it down to 2.00. I think that wow the primary managed to calibrate a dicky 2nd cell. Dive is bind .At home I swap the cells around 3.64/0.99/0.99 on the backup and 0.98/0.23/0.23 on the primary. So am I right in thinking that the (high) cell is shot? It must be right? The way the problem moves around as I move the cell position makes me think cell and not hardware, am I wrong. The things that are strange to me are:
Thanks for any help if you can...... Fil |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Cell Problem Other thing I note is now that the cells have been in air for a while the cells reading of the high cell is coming down ie 0.23 in air but the Mv reading is still very high ie 22Mv. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Cell Problem C'mon the beauty of the system is that you can still go diving by de-activating the cell, your voting logic will be on two cell and if you're still a bit stressed do some dil flush and check the ppo2 given by the cells ![]() I've done it for many hours when my cells where dying last year after 150h at high ppo2 usage and no prob, good exercise ![]() Wasn't it a story about Teledyne-Vandagraph giving a year waranty on there cells ... maybe worth sending it back to Kev who'll send it back to Teledyne ... Keep us posted on the outcome Jerome |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Cell Problem Cell is going back on Monday.... As for 'doin it with 2' I agree if I had a little bit more time on the rig I probably wouldn't give a pooh but I am not having much luck with my baby so i'll sit back and take my time. A simple cell problem is not sweat what I am cocerned of is "something else". F |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Cell Problem I had a cell similar problem. I began to check Mv, and it was ok. I changed cables between cells and I discovered that there was a problem: I cleaned the jack plugs then I changed the battery. Since then no more problems. Nad

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Cell Problem Yeah guess what I checked all the cells this a.m. and cleaned the jacks, MV dropped to normal. Gave the cells an O2 bath for an hour and then calibrated all seems OK now. (Though will probably get a new cell just in case). Now I just tride to call up a boat handler for a dive and the b*stard doesn't pick up his phone...... F |
