![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Boris course with Phil at Stoney Just back from Stoney. What a laugh! - Phil is as mad as a box of frogs - 6 degrees C water - 9 hours diving over 4 days - Flooded drysuit 1st dive - Flooded drygloves all but last 2 dives - Stoney looks like a car boot sale for dive gear - Lots of YBODs and a fine collection of some seriously strokey looking gear ![]() - Staff are really great (cups of tea brought to us after every dive )- Very very good unit - WOB is superb - Very easy to dive - Electronics package to die for - I like the Deco hud a lot I had a lot of fun on this course. The people I met, Phil, the staff at Stoney and the Rebreather World guys who came by to say hello made it a great little holiday for me. Boris is already sadly quite scratched. Ill put some pics up on my site when I get to a faster connection

[i thought id hate them but as it happens i appreciate the added safety and peace of mind]-o2 and dill pressure sensors (no spgs) with low pressure and high usage alarms as well as leak testing during start up -integrated deco - can do all deco off the hud (red light warns of ceiling and indicates when to stop and time to move to next stop - vibrator is useful as I found it drew my attention faster than just the hud light alarm - no lock outs - easy to cal on any gas - can turn off and on any cells - easy to cal passive - all alarms can be turned off

Not sure I understand what that means... And last, how does the size feel to you comparing to the YBOD and MK-15 units ? And swimability (OK, in a stagnant quarry, but you should have a feel for it still) ? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Boris course with Phil at Stoney Sr Weenie. Passive is that bloomin' great block of Ali on the right side with 3 PO2 panels. You calibrate by twisting the back (3 black plugs) with a large coin (50p is good) which (just as with your KISS) brings the cells inline with a known PO2 value in the loop (normally 1.00). I hope that helps. F |

Senor CCR900,Ah hah... in another word, "manual (non-electronic) calibration" is possible. As I understand it, when you do an electronic-calibration on an eCCR, there is a calibration factor to correlate the sensor mV output to the displayed PO2 value (i.e. 10 mV = 0.21 PO2, and say for example 50 mV = 1.0 PO2, etc). Now when you manually adjust the PO2 display, how does this calibration factor get corrected ? Is there a button to push to correlate the values ? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Boris course with Phil at Stoney The 'calibration factor', on the passive, is highly complicated and would take hours to explain! Alternatively you do your cailbration on the primary see the the PO2 readings and then compare them to the passive, you then adjust the passive to the primary. You can check the cell MV reading on the passive too but its very much a manaul flight option if your HUD and hand set go bye byes. F P.S. All ahndsets are reading off the same three cells, so by the primary adjusting during calibration so does the passive. |
