| Still Learning.... Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Ouroboros. Cold? problems? Still a relative newbie with my Boris. Issues to date: 1) Factory supplied free of charge OPV upgrade 2) Failed HUD LED - CCRB replaced HUD with new one (old one was "cracked") 3) Rest of unit is as delivered (except I uncrossed the harness and can now unclip both shoulder straps) Haven't dived the unit cold but can confirm that the batteries are the weakest point. 2 weeks ago in Scapa Flow early one morning (the unit had been on the hardboat deck overnight 3-4degC?) I got low battery warning on the "VR3" so went off to the local hardware store for some new ones (being C cells my attitude is they are relatively cheap and readily available so if in doubt swap them). However by the time I'd walked to the shop an back (in under 3000s seconds as the unit was still on) the battery warning was gone. I then did two dives in 10-11degC water with not a hint of a problem.

![]() | Re: Ouroboros. Cold? problems? Thank you for your answers it seems to me that there are no reel problems that havint been resolved by the factory. I find thease problems minimal for a design that has only been produced 100 times. Not that I´m familir with other brands and there problems but I would think this is a very good start for the Ouroboras. |
