Size isn't everything though. The Check valves in the KISS have a lower resistance to those used in the Inspo but are smaller. Well this was true in 2002 and I'm not sure what changes have been made if any.Let's be clear It's a great product! but not for the Boris If you look at the Boris DSV and The Golem Gear BOV you'll notice there is a HUGE difference in the one way check valve sizes. Boris's one way valves are A LOT bigger. Last year I spoke to CCR about adding this to my Boris and Kevin explained it would work BUT....your work of breathing would go up! He did a lot of testing on his kit for work of breathing. He built the DSV with check valves of this size for a reason. This is one of those mods I wouldn't make to a Boris. Just my 2 cents

But from what I've been told you don't want to change the Boris DSV to something smaller. You all ready have huge bore hoses and a huge bore DSV ...Why would you want any sort of a restriction in air flow. I'm getting a Kiss very soon so I can't commit on the BOV check values....just yet . They look very similar to the AGA mask valve disks. If they are the same valve your correct about the resistance. |
