| Still Learning.... Current Rebreather/s: | Putting Boris Together Having experienced a few delays (including illness) I have finally got around to reassembling my Boris. It has gone reasonably well but one thing that is irritating me is the 12 pin connector between the Centre Section anf the Pod. This has 12 electrical contacts plus a locator pin. It also has two O rings. no matter what I try I cannot seem to get the whole lot reasembled without the O rings getting dislodged. I e-mailed CCRB and they advised cooling the O rings (in the freezer). The problem with this is that they warm up very rapidly. I have tried cooling them in-situ but that has not been very successful. I tried reassembly with just one O ring and that was successful but isn't something I'd like to test in water. Does anyone have a simple hint or tip? Thanks

The trick is to wipe all the grease off the little o-rings and it's groove. Then just grease the female part of the connection using a Q-tip. That worked for me. Good luck Frankie |
