I would assume (from the shape) that it does not limit access to the isolation valves. I've stuck up a couple of pics with the base fitted, they're in the gallery. Thanks F Ian |

The next request will most certainly be one asking for a pic to show how the valves access is with the base mounted. I realised that as soon as I posted the last two, unfortunately I am having to get by on a poxy dial up at the moment, hopefully back on broadband tomorrow and I'll post some then. You might as well ... ![]() Ian |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: CCRB Foam Base the foam base you see is purely a wood block wrapped in Neoprene so that I may prop up the underside of the Boris top make it level while I work on it. Makes life so much easier. re: the positive bouyancy of the syntactic foam base....... will come back with an answer once I have worked it out ..... maybe tomorrow.

| Nefarious Activist Current Rebreather/s: | I had the chance to test out the foam base today, it really is a fantastic bit of kit. Kitting up is easier due to the increased height but the biggest improvement was to my in water trim. I can now dive boris in a horizontal position rather than the usual "seahorse" positioning, I am very very glad I bought one and would recommend it to other Boris owners. Ian |

Al isn't back in the UK until Monday, he will sort out invoices on his return, the cost is as originally quoted. I took the unit to Stoney today so fresh water, I didn't remove any weight and found it fine, I guess I had been heavy previously, total of 6kg (4kg on top of unit, 2kg on waist)I must remember to ring Al tomorrow and pay for it too. Any details on the in-water weight effect of this beauty? Cheers, Dave Cooper. Ian |
