Dome Reinforcement Band

Hello Guys/Gals,

Here is the pictures of the reinforcement band that I have on my
kit..This was provided from Delta.

The band is .615" wide.

Since using the band I have noticed a significant improvement in how
the dome fits, in respects to temperature variation.

Being in colorado and traveling alot to different dive locations I can
only take this mod as a very positive addition to my kit.

Dry is GOOD !!

Thanks for posting the pic's Bob, I was discussing this mod with Jason at CCRB on Friday but I don't think I need it yet.

Re: Dome Reinforcement Band

To me, that looks like a large diameter hose clamp with a bit of heat shrink.

Out of curiousity from a potentially future Boris owner, how much do they charge for that solution ?

(I'm not trying to be disrespectful, just want to know the expence level in owning a Boris)

Dave,

Like yourself I have suffered a major flood on a Boris so I am keen to avoid a repetition too. Jason tells me that this mod allows for the unit to be kept assembled ready to dive for extended periods, I no longer do this since they identified it as a risk.

Re: Dome Reinforcement Band

A positive accompaniment could be that the lock ring is relieved and can be moved more easily

Ppppppfssspspssffff are they taking the piss? £50? You can't be serious. That's about a fiver's worth of jubilee banding from a banding kit and 10p's worth of heatshrink.

They really do see you lot coming.

It's £49 to be exact, I don't have one so I don't know exactly what you get.

Interesting, I've never had a problem moving the lock ring on either of the units I have owned.
