Boris Stand the 3rd

Had a little time to waste because my pod was for 3 weeks in England

Had a look at the stand of narked at 90, but it seems not very streamlined sorry

So i took a custom divers Valve protector and welded 2 further stribes and then to a 1,5mm stainless plate ,
all lightweight in order not to have a bad trim

Sorry for my english

Oh dear oh dear.........

Hi Tilo,

John is dead-right about the shutoff slides, the struts will definately get in the way.

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.

Your English is very good. You have adapted and welded a very clean stand for yourself. Looks very good.

No problem to reach the sliders , in case of solenoid failure its faster to shut tank-valves ok

With Inspiration i had no failure in 200 hours diving i hope with boris its the same

Talking Re: Boris Stand the 3rd

Hi Tilo
I like the pictures of your stand it looks very strong.
Regarding the access to the O2 shutoff, I don't know if you have completed your course yet? But the main reason for the shutoff is to allow the diver to fly the unit with a stuck open solenoid using manual O2 addition, yes the O2 tank can be turned off quickly but I think its equally important that you can reach the solenoid shutoff just as quick.
Compare this to a stuck open solenoid at depth on an Inspiration were it is very differcult to control the PO2 on the tank valve.

Regards, Al
