The most beautiful of creations; to bring a man down into the abyss. The prospect of assisting you in your ventures down beyond the surface, where adventures await. Not much news has been revealed lately. I am starving for information. (A snip here and there, but not nearly enough to satisfy my hunger. I do realize that much info will be restricted in lieu of soon to come products)) The "openRev" is such a nice design, that I get a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye, whenever I go through the project papers or glance at the pictures. My heart craves for more. Please can we have an update and some more pictures would be nice as well. Please, pretty please. ![]()

Innards do not really seem to be sexy except for engineers. Like the scrubber stick, the control electronics, the O2 injectors (really nice O2 injectors), etc.Butt DEMA is in what? In November? That is a long time to wait! Welll As long as this project sees some realization, I will be more at ease. So thenn IIll just have to wait it out. (How about a tiny sneak peak though?) Cheers, Alex |

| So much more to learn ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Any news? Ok. I'll bite. Please can we see the insides!!! OK.Here are four pictures: 1. The boards that control the whole thing, that go in an oil filled chamber in the scrubber cap. Batteries are in SS tubes that are outside that, in the sea water, at 1 ATM. 2. The CO2 monitor and temperature stick 3. The O2 injectors. These are variable orifice injectors, that can withstand 142 bar intermediate pressure without damage, and operate correctly from 1 bar to 14 bar. All parts in contact with O2 are a nickel bronze (better than Iconel for O2 compatibility). The body is a Stainless Steel with outstanding resistance to salt water. 4. The assembly with the hermetic seal to the electronics chamber, and board onto which plug the O2 sensors and CO2 monitor. It is soldered with 0.1" pitch pins. This board allows the O2 sensors to hang downwards in normal use. The two posts hold clamps for the O2 sensors. These will be sensors from AII, without temperature compensation. The temperature compensation is performed digitally. This removes all failure modes from the sensor whereby it can produce a higher voltage than the correct PPO2 voltage. It has a 100 Ohm resistor load internal to the sensor, which we test to check it is there (using a DAC and 100K resistor to drive the sensor with various voltages). This means the system can operate correctly if 3 out of 4 sensors fail. If all sensor fail, it can run blind for about 30 minutes because the setup process calibrates the O2 injector automatically. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Supurb! Thank you! Obviously this project is thoroughly thought out and professionally executed. I am in awe! It is absolutely beautiful! Admirable! (PS can we have some more? Please!?) ![]()
