![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Meg Apecs 2.5 Head Photos. I have just received my new Megalodon from the factory for some dive testing. Here is the new head set-up for the Apecs 2.5 , notice how neat the wiring is and also the new electronics box on the right side of the images, it is re-enterable and will show immediate signs if tampered with. All good improvements on the progress towards Apecs 3. Cheers, Dave Cooper.

It does look a little neater. I wonder why the the block-off for the old moisture drain has not been removed by now. Maybe that hole will find another application someday? Thanks for the pics it does look a lot neater than my head. There is no fuss, it is about showing the improvement in the brain-box, which is no longer potted, crudely, as before and is now re-enterable. Also the sheathing prevents someone slicing through the wires when mis-fitting the sensor carriage. Maybe I have misunderstood the purpoose of the Meg Owners Sub-Forum ???? There was me thinking that it was to update owners on progress.......... Cheers, Dave Cooper.

Firstly, no offence meant.......Yes this forum is to update owners, I was and am a big supporter of anything that helps us make educated dissisionsAlso the sheathing prevents someone slicing through the wires when mis-fitting the sensor carriage. Maybe I have misunderstood the purpoose of the Meg Owners Sub-Forum ???? There was me thinking that it was to update owners on progress.......... Cheers, Dave Cooper. God my spellings getting bad......... But back to the 2.5 Rubber sheathing will not stop damage to the wires if you get them caught in between the head and can, sorry I don't buy that, its just to tight. Access to the lecce's is good, should make the unit cheaper to repair, I take it its all o ring sealed?, Apart from that roll on APECS 3. Or have I missed something.............. ![]()

Rubber sheathing will not stop damage to the wires if you get them caught in between the head and can, sorry I don't buy that, its just to tight. No the sheath is to stop the sensor wires being pinched when the sensor carriage is replaced on the 4 locating pins, not to stop pinching between the head & the can.I doubt the wiring is long enough to allow it to get pinched by the head/can. Again as Dave has said it's just an opportunity to show that Leon & the team are still making improvements to Apecs 2 whilst they are also working on Apecs 3. |
