No, you're correct----anyone have any answers?

Not sure how "early" the unit had to be but mine was hatched mid 2006.

Got mine last month and It has it.

My guess

ISC are future proofing the latest heads.

If there were no batteys in the head, Say for example APECS 3 has Bat's in the Handset's, this would leave stacks of room for a redesign of the cell holder. Pop in a Fourth cell for a off board computer eg VR3, but off coarse you need to get a lead into the head, Extra port could be for that.

As for the name..........
P Primary
S Secondary
H Hud

A Auxilary ???????????

With ISC developing a new lightweight version of the Meg Can They seem to be commiting to the Can desgin long term and lets face it, its one of the fundamental design features. This can only be good news for us, Hopefully when "Assuming I have guessed correctly" future upgradeds become avaliable they will be able to adapt the current design of head and keep the price of upgrades down.

It seems obvious to me ISC is not going to rush into anything until they know its right. They will hold APEC 3 until they have it as good as possible before release. Which IMO is a bloody good thing.

Re: Leak between the head and Solenoid pipe

What's your rig ID? I just looked at the predelivery checklist and the actual date of manufacture on my rig is around July 2006 and the ID is 330.

If they changed the design they must have JUST changed it. Guess we'll have to wait until someone from ISC responds to find out what the port is actually for although your explanation sounds pretty good. This is getting interesting.

Re: Leak between the head and Solenoid pipe

Ok, so this was supposed to be a fourm set up with ISC just for Meg owners and users so ISC could respond to issues posted by owners. It's been nearly a week since this post was made and still no answer from ISC. What's up?

I am at ISC right now and we have been talking about this thread. Leon has not come up with a definative answer other than he says the locktite should not be needed since the lock washer in there should prevent loosening.
