Hey whats to be sorry about? 20mins with a socket set and it was fixed, it's not like I missed a dive

So no answer from the Hatchery yet... Is it worth putting a dab of threadlock on the thread to stop it ever coming loose again ?

Cheers

I don't know if it is due to it coming loose or because of O ring compression. If it is the latter you will not want to prevent retightening with threadlock

Dave speak English.
Why would I want to "prevent retightening"

I know of one Meg user that has put threadlock on this thread and his has not moved since.

I must say I am still keen to see someone from ISC post here...

Cheers

I thought I was.
If you lock the thread it won't help if the problem was caused by o-ring compression since the nut loosening did not cause the increased gap. If you lock the thread you will find it hard to retighten the nut after the o-ring has taken a more compressed shape.

But its not caused by Oring compression, it is caused by the nut coming loose. When I took mine apart the nut was freely spinning.

Re: Leak between the head and Solenoid pipe

Thanks guys for the info. I've been using the pipe as a handle as well, it's just in the right spot ya know, kind of like the cross bar on a manifold. After reading this I won't be using it again and I'm headed to the dive locker to check the nut and make sure it hasn't loosened up.

My buddy reckons I have a stream of bubbles coming out of the port marked A on this head??? is that possible, or may he being seeing bubbles coming from the pipework? If it is port A how does one fix it??

What is port "A"? I just took a look at my Meg and I don't even have that port.

I stand to be corrected but

Eairly versions didnt have it.

I have never seen a confirmed reason for it, I suspect its for a Future ISC development.
