New HH Turns off

Sorry, but I seem to be missing something..
The unit stayed on for half an hour untill you took the batteries out?
So after half an hour operation you took the batteries out and the unit, not surprisingly, turned off?
As in remove batteries --> it stops working

Yes your missing something

It should switch its self off after 2mins. You shouldnt have to take the bateries out.

Sometimes its the wet sensor that causes this. Some times its the depth sensor.
