![]() | Hi, has anyone come across on getting to dive site and setting up, turning on dil to have continuous flow from the adv and blowing the lungs up and venting out the opv? This happened the other day after all usual checks done back at base, + and - etc all passed. But at site above happens. Not a biggy, use on/off valve to adv. however what appears to me, the swivel inlet must have binded up abit and loosened the outside housing nut up against the inside diaphragm lever assy. Has anyone had this ? if so any remedies ? Kevin |

If it's free flowing it likely needs to be adjusted. If you aren't familiar with how to do it, a dive shop should be able to close it down a bit for you. It's basically like a second stage on a regulator. If the swivel is loose, just tighten the outside screw with an allen wrench. Richie Last edited by diverreb : 14th May 2008 at 13:51. |

![]() | Re: ADV valve continuous flow Hi Kev, As it happens, yes. But was totally my own fault. As I hardly ever wash my kit (apart from the lungs) the shut off slider valve had jammed on to the ADV fitting, when I moved the shut off valve (rotated from facing up the counter lungs to facing down) all the guts inside also rotated. If you remove the top hase and look into your ADV you can see the small black plastic lever that operates on the diaphram. Take care as I ripped my diaphram, got around this by gluing, but had a nervouse couple of dives untill the new one come through. Worth a quick check (mine is on an inspo tho - not sure if the same) BAZ ![]() Last edited by turtle dude : 14th May 2008 at 16:43. Reason: Doh! didn't look at what unit was being used! |
