Erik and DiveRanger, thanks for the user reviews!

Doesn't the policy allow fluids and gells as carryon, as long as they are less than 3 OZ? Therefore, wouldn't the 2 OZ tube of Crysto-Lube be ok?

I wouldn't test the TSA on that. It would suck to have to chuck out $40 worth of christo-lube, and then be subject to body cavity inspection just because you wanted to carry it on. You'd have to have checked baggage anyway, unless you plan on wearing the clothes on your back and diving without a harness, wing and backplate and fins.

Didn't realize that stuff was so expensive - Thanks for the heads up!

BTW Tony, what's this I hear about you becoming a South Florida lake diver? With such beautiful reefs and beaches we have here, a lake???

The way I look at it, anyone with a $10k rebreather in South Florida, shouldn't be allowed to dive a lake, unless there's a cave entrance somewhere along the bottom!

I figured you'd be more concerned with the body-cavity search than the $40!

And it is true, Don and I were lean, mean, silt-out machines in the lake sunday. (First CCR dive with a drysuit - what better place than Tigertail!)

Nah, the TSA doesn't scare me; however, after seeing the pictures of what went on with the Northeasterners on the last Keys trip, this upcoming Keys trip does scares me!

Say it isn't so Tony? Don...yeah, he's a certified siltout machine, but you as well? What kind of message does this send to the rest of Rebreather World about the Florida S.C.R.U.B.'s

Let me get this straight, Adrian - Tony AKA 'TieNUTS', a man with a dancing, half-naked Chris Farley for an avatar is talking about lube and body cavity searches in the same sentence ... and Richie scares you?!?! Ok, he scares me too, but ...
