Re: HH HUD Issues

well got my head/hud back from jurgensen and have made some dives with it they were unable to duplicate the problem because it was operator error. i had been inadvertently been going to "set stack time " instead of "reset stack time" on the secondary handset. as soon as you execute this function, the led will freeze in whatever spot it is in. in other words if the the led is on, it freezes on, if it is off, it stays off. we tried this on at least four other optima hammerheads and they all did it. my bad.

so, the hud is working fine now that yours truly has corrected the error of his ways. kudos to jurgensen for the quick turn around

I looked back at your original post to try to figure out what the initial problem was and how the fix relates to it but I am having difficulty understanding. Could you please explain?

Are you now saying you cannot set the stack timer only reset it?

John

there is a software bug.. Set stack time locks the DIVA status.. I don't remember if it clears after going to sleep then coming out of sleep but it definately resets with the battery removed..

workaround use the reset stack time as it was meant to.. The set stack time normally only needs to be set once (since they usually start with a new fill)and then forget about it. The only use I could see for using set stack time more than once is for optima divers that are pulling and saving cartridges for later use, which it has limited value as the increments are every 60 minutes.. Set stack time is usually thought of as set it and forget it.. Probably why it took so long for the bug to become evident.

This is part of the bug with the test stack time option, both are being fixed for the next release...

Re: HH HUD Issues

I'll be on this tomorrow.

We'll test internally, and if it's a bug, as Joe suggests, we'll get it fixed.

We're in the process of adding a couple new features which were requested by Joe (thanks again) and Lamar.

Good to read, could you tell us about those new features, please?
I sent you a private message about that DIVA behaviour after my course, it could be reproduced on both of our new HH units and cleared after the handsets went to sleep.
Its no big deal, but if I wanted those updates, would I have to send the head back to you or will there be an European place for maintenance, too?

Re: HH HUD Issues

Kevens service is super..
Problem with secondary hand set not turning off, shipped out and fixed, returned in 2 weeks. Super service couldnt ask for more personalization on the problem either, no attitude on phone, just good service.
