| Re: USS Oriskany Any comments on the Op you used and CCR friendly? Bottomtime? Max Depth? Temp? Dove it last November and one thing I found useful was cutting a multi level dive plan. The sand is 210 ~ 215fsw. If you want to, say, see the props you can then later spend some time at 160 fsw in the hangar bays. The flight deck is 135 fsw, so a 3 level plan can be useful. Taking a look at required bailout you can structure your time such that a flood at the end of the 160 fsw segment is more or less the same as bailout gas required for a flood at the end of the 130 fsw portion. Your first deep stops can then be spent in the conning tower area.John Temps then were in the high 60s F w/ a thermocline ~ 5 F cooler at about 170 fsw. Buddy dove a 5 mm one piece wetsuit. I dove compressed 4mm neoprene dry w/ no thermals. He was a bit chilled on deco; I was fine. |
